Untitled
One walks between light and dark,
Traversing through the grey.
Always keeping part of self
Hidden, secreted away.
Complex, deviant passions
One tries so hard to control.
Continually trapped and caged,
Within an all too mortal soul.
Desires rage and battle
Oh so deep within.
A persistent itch, unscratched,
Somewhere beneath the skin.
A fires burns brightly now
Behind mysterious eyes.
A yearning that aches and hollows,
That soon makes one blind.
Shadows form a different scene,
Creeping forward like a snake.
Taking hold and binding now,
Hard for one to break.
Come out, come out, into the light,
Wherever you may be.
For it is you and you alone,
Who can set the wild ones free.
Fair as snow and raven black,
They dance upon the sky.
Do not ever once look back,
For away they shall fly.
Round and round the story goes,
Catch it if you can.
Or do you think you're the only one
Who longs for the blood of man?

Bravo, Nia!
A very well composed piece, but was that a question? or a statement of fact, hm?
It's a question of belief
It's answer a scientific disbelief
which makes us honor what we see
part of another mortality
always hungry, always thirsty
a set game to accomplish
but, by the end game you`ll relinquish.

Merci beaucoup, Lestat. A first, though perhaps not the last.
-considers- Can not a question also be a statement of fact?
Truth in, truth will out,
Or so they may say.
If relinquish I must,
Well, I'll do it my own way.
True freedom comes with a price,
Not many are willing to pay.
Even if tame no longer,
We still survive, some way.

Re: Untitled
A beautiful poem! I appreciate the grey in life, too.
