How are you all?

Post by Louis on Tue Dec 16, 2014 5:20 pm

Ah, I find that I have neglected this place, without realizing it, so caught up in the many nights' activities that I find myself involved in with Lestat.
We do keep quite busy, but not to say that I don't also have time to myself at times. We both have a very real need for personal space as well.

I do find time to sit and read, or sometimes just to wander the night time streets of the local villages.
England is a place where you can find people out and about at all hours enjoying the evening, partaking in visits with acquaintances, sharing a glass of wine with strangers.
Such a life loving group, and it is one of my favorite pastimes to watch people, and so I do quite often, and not always from the shadows as one might imagine.

The mild nights are soon to end, too soon perhaps, and yet I find myself anticipating the winter. I have always enjoyed the changes of the seasons, taking note of the passage of time in the most noticeable way to me.

How are you all spending the days/nights of winter? Do tell me, let us have some conversation...

I know what it's like to get caught up in the goings-on around you, believe me. Smile Life happens. At least it looks like you've been having fun, yes? I would hope so.

Being winter-born, I'm looking forward to the possibility of snow! It hasn't let me down, the past two years.

Thus far, I've been cooped up inside (out of necessity) but I'm hoping that will soon change. We'll see what happens!

Hey Louis, winter is my favourite season. the foot prints in the snow are easier to track. the cold biting breeze brings new scents of our prey even closer. The sound of the rain and wind combined drowns out our foot steps, making it easier to stalk our prey. The longer nights allow us not to be seen so easily as we watch from the shadows, while waiting for our kill.

I... have a love/hate relationship with winter. The first half of my life I bounced between Los Angeles and Miami, I had never truly encountered it. When I first arrived here to Colorado (as a teen), I was mystified by the snow. I felt as if I had stepped into some fairy-tale land. My peers thought my reaction to it was "cute" and warned me that I'd soon tire of it.

They were right. The novelty of it eventually wore off. Driving in snow, having to shovel it, 25 below zero temperatures? Ugh... no thanks. I always sigh a bit knowing that winter weather is fast approaching.

Don't get me wrong, it's still beautiful. (I daresay even more so than Fall) I prefer to enjoy it on a day off, and just watch the snow from a window. That "quiet" that comes right after it has snowed is very peaceful. My thing is to stay inside and watch movies.

This is perfect stay at home and read weather. I bet England is beautiful in the winter, though. Enjoy your people watching.

Haha, oh, Victor. How deliciously morbid. XD
