How to Behave Like the `Me`
Here: is a post intended for the boys, who pretend to be me.
Over the past decade or so, I have seen with my own eye`s, people that pretend to be The vampire Lestat.
There they are, on youtube, Twitter, myface, facetube.. or wherever.
I would like to set the record straight, now. Once and for all...
Here; are the Ten rules I live by.
1. Be charming. First and foremost, I am charming and well-loved, I have many friends from all walks of life. Don't be afraid to strike up conversations with, well, just about anyone! Be sure the conversation is about something interesting and slightly unique. Art, music and the theatre are good, but always seem mysterious and or unique.
2. Be generous. I take good care of my loved ones, for the most part. Do your best to be around when people need you, and to show your loved ones that they are appreciated. Pay attention to your family and friends, and shower them with gifts. It doesn't have to be expensive.
3. Be tasteful. Do your best to learn all about proper etiquette (especially antiquated manners and affectations) and take an interest in the fine arts. Such as piano, poetry, painting, etc. (Remember I love my music, so try to take time in that.)
4. Be dramatic! Not annoyingly melodramatic, but have a very noticeable sense of style. I wear everything from black velvet and antique lace to leather and chains, to tailored fashions and violet-tinted sunglasses. Growing your hair out "long and full" and giving it a slight wave is a good idea. Applying some light powder (either bronzed or translucent, depending on the look you're going for) and eyeliner isn't a bad idea at all.
5. Save your money, don't spend it on crappy things. Get well-made, classy and dark things with it. I have all kinds of money, but you might not. Live within your means but get nice things when you can. This goes with having taste. If you live on a budget, you can usually go to a Goodwill, E-bay, or Craigslist for very neat things to go with your look.
6. Listen to all different kinds of music. My taste in music is as eclectic as my taste in clothing and friendships. my favorites seem to be any kind of violin, symphonic metal, death metal and Classic or Romantic-era orchestra pieces.
7. Read up on Gothic literature and poetry. Such as Edgar Allen Poe or any other very strange poet.
8. Don't be afraid to show how you're really feeling. If you're experiencing a strong emotion, don't dance around it! Get your true feelings out in the open and experience them fully. But just don't go too far. Vampires usually hide their emotions to fool humans.
9. Find an eclectic group of people to hang out with: very independent, intellectual people are great. Make friends with some but always have a rather small group of people that you mainly adore and care for like I had. Find someone who is your total opposite but at the same time complements your personality. Don't worry if you disagree; Louis and I fight a LOT but really we adore each other. You'll always reunite!
And finally...
10. My attitude is usually moody. My emotions change rather fast. I have some-what of a short temper, so be kind of short with people. Although I can be loving and caring, just don't get me upset.
Go on, give it a go... But remember; It is difficult being me, but, oh so much fun watching people trying to be me!

The part where I'm imagining boys, around the world, jotting down notes.

Oh, I love this, too!
Very funny, I'd love to see the boys practicing.

My greatest sin has always been that I have a wonderful time being myself.
Re: How to Behave Like the `Me`
Hell, even I admit that I think it'd be fun to be you. *shrugs*

"Cosplayers" are everywhere, it's true :-D
Very good list of rules, I must admit, but personally I'm not fond of this tendency when people pretend to be someone instead of being real themselves...) it's very good sometimes (for cosplay, role playing or on professional reasons - if they are actors for ex.), but in everyday life it's better (and much easier!)) to be yourself
"Be yourself, other roles are already taken" (Oscar Wilde)

Well, I am not God. And I am not the Devil from hell, though I sometimes pretend to be. But I know that's what I am! I do not pretend to be what I am not!
Re: How to Behave Like the `Me`
Of course!! Dear Lestat, it's been said about boys and young men who pretend to be YOU! (As it was referred in the name of topic))) And in general about my friends-cosplayers who I knew very well and it was quite amazing when they tried all the time to be their loved characters from movies, manga, even real people (especially musicians) which they cosplayed
Did you take my post as reference to yourself?..

Re: How to Behave Like the `Me`
-chuckles- I believe his cage was already rattled, Louis.
Though, on the note of those pretending... While it may be fun and games to those who do cosplay or roleplay, et cetera, there aren't many who can -truly- pull off the roles they are pretending to be.
However, I find those who pretend to be those who they are not on an everyday basis to be rather sad and lacking true imagination and creativity.
That being said, those here do not play at what they are. Even he who likes to pretend he is the Devil at times. -laughs-

Yes, surely there aren't many really talented cosplayers and roleplayers (even actors!) who can perfectly pull off chosen roles. *So because of them I suppose O. Wilde said his statement...)*
