Fending off boredom
Is there any good way to do this? I man, honestly, when one has tried just about everything but finds
themselves wandering about restless, what else is there to do?
Going out is unfortunately not an option, though I wish it were. Though, I have no where I would want to go to around where I live.

I don`t know, perhaps read for a while. You can always talk to someone on line...
Re: Fending off boredom
I have drawn, written, played some random games, half paid attention to Alice in Wonderland on television, read...
I suppose I -could- talk to someone online, provided they were actually online.

Re: Fending off boredom
If you come across something that kills your boredom, please share. I usually take a nap to make time pass by a little faster... but, alas, I still wake up bored.
There's always Netflix, and brownies/cookies. Yes, I bake when bored. In fact, that's pretty much what my holiday break consisted of. Baking. (And having margaritas while waiting). Then I gave away all the cookies to friends before I ate them all myself.
Is there a park, trail, or anything nearby for hiking?

Yess, communication, Nia!!! *for me it always was the best decision - boredom disappears inmmediately when there're missed friends online
As for me, I'm not used to be bored - usually I've a lot of books to read (my lists are already enormous because lack of free time((, a lot of films to see and music to hear... *I don't speak about costumes which I'd like to make, but this matter is highly dependent on money and presence of good sewing machine...>.<* but mostly because of work I simply dream to sleep a little more than 4-5 hours per night...

Now the question becomes, how does one avoid work when they do not want to go in? -laughs-
At least, tomorrow is a day I get to be home.

Re: Fending off boredom
Ahhhhh, it's THE MOST difficult and at the same time important question for me too!!!........ (especially with my amount of hobbies and plans...)
Try petending to be ill, ask supplementary vacation or... just disappear))) *but surely after this everyone might have a lot of problems with chiefs and so on)...
not so easy to find right decision....

Re: Fending off boredom
I must admit, Yume. That "Just disappear" idea of yours, sounds good to me. But, to where and what to do?
Re: Fending off boredom
I would often like to 'just disappear', lacking in the appropriate funds puts a damper on such things. Though, I have these friends and family members who would worry about me if I did such a thing.
Though, I wonder sometimes, as I seem to be invisible to a number of people regardless of what I do. Either that, or a constant object of ridicule.

Oh, Lestat, especially for YOU it must not be a problem at all!! (to where disappear and what to do)))))) if consider how many apartments you have everywhere around the world (and enough money to book any hotel which you like) it's not a big deal for you to hide from everyone^^
What to do?... Strange question of you))) I thought you always can find occupation which could please you as you wish (songs writing, music composing, recording, reading, painting...) If you're such higly creative person (as far as I understood), it wouldn't be any problem either
Aaaaand, if you REALLY tired of creative work, books and films, you have your forum and all us here to speak relentlessly at any time

Re: Fending off boredom
Nia, I meant "disappear" not for your friends and family (them you can trust the real info where you go, why and what do you want to do). It's just the temporary way to hide from the work (when you absolutely sick and tired of it but your cruel boss doesn't let you go even on short holidays((... So later you can explain that you were kidnapped by aliens and lost your memory, or something like this))) *but of course it's only the theory, this way of "disappearing" I still never tested on practice... *
Re: Fending off boredom
Ugh, agreed on the just disappear bit, as well. :/
