Re: Some music from me...
One of my favorite arias of all times - Ave Maria (Maria Callas performed it so beautifully)... May be once I'll finaly try to sing it (as I always wanted and even tried but didn't finish it by recording)...

Re: Some music from me...
Aaaand..... One of my favorite musicals - "Elisabeth" - performed by Japanese theater Takarazuka (don't be shocked - it's unique theater where ALL actors/actresses are women; it was created like "response" on existed for ages well-known Theater Kabuki with all actors men))
Love this scene - Elisabeth are tempting by Der Tod

Re: Some music from me...
And again - more soft EBM/electro breathtaking clip from Solitary Experiments for the favorite film of my childhood - Labyrinth (with incredible David Bowie^^)) Personally I'm crazy about this video - ALL is hypnotizing (video mastering, sound and feeling of the song... Je dirais ''L'amour éternel"...)
Re: Some music from me...
Perfect (in my opinion) remake of now became classic Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" by Bauhaus (yesss, I'm absolutely in love with Glam rock...))

Re: Some music from me...
Those of you who know that I'm completely in love with Germany and Germans: their language, country and the hugest cultural influence that they had on my motherland, and just simply cause they're rocking)))))))

Re: Some music from me...
Don't like too much Rammstein except from this one song - Ohne Dich (don't know why it touched me so much)...
Re: Some music from me...
Not serious but very interesting video (regardless that it's a commercials for H&M company) I was slightly astonished by Anna Dello Russo and became shortly her "fan" after discovering her age in this clip and her lifestyle helping to look like this at 50))) seriously - sometimes I can be fashion maniac (regretting after shopping), so when her commercials were everywhere in Paris I couldn't resist of looking this video and learning all haute couture "principles"

Re: Some music from me...
And of course Malice Mizer (couldn't leave this space without them) - Mayonaka Ni Kawashita Yakusoku PV (fragment of the PV is basically a brief summary of Bram Stoker's book Dracula and its an abbreviated version of their movie, which is called "Bara ni irodorareta akui to hideki no makuake" or just "Bara no konrei" (Bridal of rose). Klaha is incredible in his role, and Yuuki is excellent Dracula)))
Re: Some music from me...

Re: Some music from me...
I like your different style selection, although the Plava Laguna's song from 5th Element, c`est magnifique.
Re: Some music from me...
Diva Plava Laguana's song is one of my absolute faorites. I watch The Fifth Element for everything, but that entire scene in particular, Lilu and all.

Re: Some music from me...
Thanks, Melanie!!) Yes, my tastes vary very widely depending on my mood, but mostly it's different kinds of rock/electro (rarely pop, just if it's really "driving"))
Ohhh, of course Bauhaus is rulezzz (honestly, I love their version of "Ziggy Stardust" more than Bowie's original, even considering my love for all his works)))

Re: Some music from me...
Merci beaucoup, Lestat! Yes, Plava Laguna's song was always the best of the best... One of my vocal teachers dreamed to sing it...)
Re: Some music from me...
Thanks, Nia!) for me too 5th element is one of my favorites - not so many modern french films that I love so much and can review endlessly!
Re: Some music from me...
Ruthy, nice to see you here - welcome!!! and thanks a lot for sharing these videos - always loved this scene form Queen of the Damned very much!
Second and third clips I've never seen before - very good videos! (Sympathy for the Devil was always one of my fav' from Rolling Stones)

Re: Some music from me...
Well, I'd like to share with you some of my fav' japanese gothic rock - D'espairs Ray (was on their concert in 2009 - Hizumi's vocal is incredible...)
Re: Some music from me...
This ending song from one of my favorite anime Ergo Proxy (genre - gothic/cyberpunk/apocalypse) performed by alternative rock band MONORAL of multucultural origin (Japanese-Moroccan vocalist Anis who was born in London and grew up in France, and Japanese-American guitarist Ali) they were inspired by famous british rock groups like Beatles, U2 etc., which influenced a lot on the style of their songs and music.
Personally - I love this song very much, as it suits ideally to all range of my emotional condition (from hardest depressions to happiest state of mood)...

Re: Some music from me...
Some (on my taste) "vampiric" voice of one of my favorite singer Atsushi Sakurai and his band Buck-Tick (already became living classic for j-rock).
Love them very, very much...

Re: Some music from me...
Some piece of bright and positive music - Ballad of Demon Maxwell from magnificent movie "Velvet Goldmine" - highly recommend to all Glam-rock fans!!! *it's something incredible, the film is so atmospheric that for 1,5 hour you feel absolutely "plunged" in the life of seventies with all their glory and boys-girls/drugs/rock-n-roll style...* When I feel sad, disappointed or just too tired of life, reviewing of this movie (or just listening its gorgeous soundtrack) gives me forse to continue my everyday "life-battle".
Re: Some music from me...
Don't judge too strict - this one is just for fun (yes, sometimes Trollywood rules)))
Re: Some music from me...
Yume wrote:Atsushi Sakurai and his band Buck-Tick
This group reminds me very much of a band called; Muse.
Yume... I enjoyed "D'espairs Ray" track, they could certainly wake anyone up.
Re: Some music from me...
Oh, wow. Buck-Tick does remind one of Muse. Which is also another band I enjoy.
Yume, I love the different styles of music you enjoy. I happen to enjoy listening to a lot of the bands that you have shown us. I haven't been able to listen to everything yet, but so far, I have immensely enjoyed what I have gotten the chance to play.

Re: Some music from me...
Thank you for appreciation of my music tastes, Lestat!!! I'm very pleased to hear that you loved it!
Yes, I know Muse and love them very much!! And you're write - works of Buck-Tick are also inspired mostly by Brithish rock music (elder that Muse but with the same tendencies)... They've a lot of magnificent songs, including opening and ending songs in my favorite vampiric animes as "Thrinity Blood" and "Nightwalker"; and also Atsushi palyed a role of charismatic vamire (who hunts other vampires) in movie "Longinus" - here's the link if someone will be interested to have a look:
D'espairs Ray were fabulous, it's really pity that they had split up after Hizumi's illness...(( But you can find their other songs on Youtube, as good as Garnet - if you liked this one, may give them also a try...

Nia, very pleased to hear that!!! If you love anime, you can find a lot of magnificent Japanese rock bands who perform soundtracks for different genres of anime/movies. I adore Japanese musicians (may be even more obsessively than Germans))), so if you wish I can send you a lot of links for clips I love!

Re: Some music from me...
And here my favorite international (mostly French-Japanese) band Tokyo Decadance, who explosed my brain by their cyberpunk costumes and absolutely crazy mixes of electro/EBM/industrial music in combination with opera vocal of Selia (magnificent trans-diva with vocal range of about 4 octaves) - their concert in Moscow in 2008 was one of the most spectacular events in my life!!!
*I was insired by them so much that made my Cyberpunk- cosplay as dedication to their DJ SiSen))

Re: Some music from me...
Yume, and good evening to everybody !
You have tastes highly varied, it is pleasant!
One of your videos ( the labyrinth, and it is with Jennifer Connelly ?), made for me thought of a clip of the group "Broadcast". This clip is extracted from a movie "Valérie" (a very beautiful film and dreamlike), a Gothic atmosphere of the 70s: the aestheticism is deeply moving!

Mina, nice to see you here - you're always welcome!! Thanks for appreciation of my music tastes and for this video - really mesmerizing and dreamlike! I didn't know about this film - found it in Wiki and will try to find on DVD or online, thanks again for this wonderful discovery!!
*And yes, in Labirynth it was exactly Jennifer Connely - young girl whom our gorgeous King of Goblins Jared fell in love with)))

Re: Some music from me...
Guys, I'm really so honored that you appreciate my variety of music preferencies! Love you all very much!!!
And now want to share with you this beautiful japanese electro-pop duet Two Mix, which is well-known thanks to opening/ending songs to famous anime as Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Detective Conan etc. Adore them very much and always sang some of their songs (and want to sing all their songs what I love the most). This clip "White Reflection" is 100% drawn in anime style (which is much more expencive than "normal", standart studio recording), but real musicians look almost 100% like their drawn personnages Enjoy!!

Re: Some music from me...
Korean fantastic rock band - love them (especially because they sing not only Korean, but mostly on the mix of my favorite Japanese and English languages))
Re: Some music from me...
Some of my fav' Britain rock - my dears PLACEBO and Bryan Molko *_* How I dreamed to see them in live concert... But till now this dream still not realized (I've already missed my chance to see them in Moscow, and then they already were twice in Paris, but because of studies and work I missed tham again.....(( one of my friends managed to catch their singing at FNAC Saint-Lazarre last year, stayed several hours in the enormous queue but finally got Bryan's latest CD which he signed her... She was the happiest person in the world at that moment...)
Here is a perfect mix from Velvet Goldmine with Placebo's song (which is in movie's official soundtrack) "20th Century boy"
This song for me is direct association with our beloved Prince... When nobody, including even Rice by herself, didn't know the name of her latest book, for me Lestat already was the very Prince about whom Bryan sings...)

Re: Some music from me...
One of the best (in my opinion) bands of the raising British New Wave - Joy Division with incredible Ian Curtis, was transformed in New Order (also my favorite) after Curtis' death... How David Bowie told once: "Real poet must die in the age of 25", so did Ian Curtis... Thanks to them (and some others) this "revolution of sound" in Britain began at the end of 70s-beginning of 80s...

It's ok Ruthy, I understand you very well! )) Thanks to you I've remembered almost all film!)
Here is also soundtrack - ending song "Narvas" from Matrix (my fav' movie for all the times - more precisely Ist part of thrilogy), performed by Juno Reactor. For me personally - Hindu/Buddhistic mantras + Goa/Psy Trance = perfect combination, so... Enjoy!

Re: Some music from me...
Almost an opera song (this band - D - was inspired by the Phantom of the Opera) - Asagi's vocal is also reminds ''vampiric" voice and ranged in several octaves
And this one also from them - true japanese colorit, almost poetic esthetics of death in their national unique style (snow, blood, katana...)
